Jesse Patzer-Coletta

Upon transferring into the University of Colorado Boulder’s Architectural Engineering program in 2014, Jesse Patzer-Coletta found a place within—and a passion for—the lighting world. During his time at the University of Colorado Boulder he sought out broad experiences in lighting, including officership in the University’s Illuminating Engineering Society Chapter, as well as a managing position at the University’s Lighting Lab. Jesse then accepted an intern position at a local lighting design and electrical engineering firm in Denver, Colorado working on projects combining electrical and lighting design.

In 2016, Jesse graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Architectural Engineering; he graduated as a member of Tau Beta Pi—a national engineering honors society.

After travels abroad, Jesse moved to New York City to join Lumen Architecture in 2016. He is an active member of the Designers Lighting Forum of New York, Illuminating Engineering Society North America, and International Association of Lighting Designers.
